My o7 Phazer is have issues with the charging system. It is running off the batt. and not charging at all check voltage and there's nothing. Has anyone had the stator or regulater go bad. Is there a relay for the charging system. Thanks

Make sure the battery is good. Had the same thing happen to m fathers T660 last week and the battery from my sled worked fine.
Other then that check the fuses just to be safe, make sure the connections on the battery are good and clean.

stator is probaly pooched. we had stator go out on one of our 08 vectors. had to drive 20 km out of the bush with a battery on the running boards. kept swapping out for new batteries as it would only run for 5 km at a time. with the sled running check for voltage to the battery, it should be at least 14 volts

Next step is to test the Stator then.
Stator coil resistance:
0.22 ~ 0.26 Ω at 20 °C (68 °F)
(White – White)

checked voltage can watch it drop . do you happen to know the resistance of the stator. if someone has a manual and could tell me that would be great than I'll know forsure. thanks

thanks . Yamahas mines @ .30 at roughly 50 deg. F
Did you check if its grounded? If its not grounded and .30 I would keep looking.Something else wrong in my opinion.

If the Stater checks out it could be the rectifier/regulator.
A stator check includes checking if its grounded. It should not be grounded. When you check Ohm reading its looking for a open circuit when you check to ground its a check to see if the windings are touching ground.Such as if coatings on wires are burnt or wore off.I would think that is part of test or should be.
when my voltage reg went bad, sled would not run. It was cooked due to the grounding block issue with the 07's. Just an fyi

I'm having charging issues also! 2007 phazer gt with 11,000 miles. Brand new battery (yuasa) 12.4 volts, crank engine drops to 10.8 goes back to 12.3 after starting but thats it. will not reach 13-14v? Checked grounding block, doesn't have any melting and not updated. tried checking ohms off stator but meter would only show .1-.2?? (not real great at electrical side). Any ideas or things to check would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

If ground wire reads less than 1 ohm to chassis you are fine

Also there is an easy DIY version of to upgrade your ground block.
