so i just ordered a 2012 nytro mtx 162 with the supercharger. what do i do now as far as some upgrades. i have my own list of wants, but i am curious to hear from those of you that have experience with these sleds and what you would do first.
also is everything from a 2011 going to fit on a 2012?

Congrats!
I also ordered a 2012 - I went with the turbo though.
My tentative list:
- Set ski stance to narrow and trade 2012 skis for older ones
- Increase Fuel volume (trail tank or Rotopax - I have not decided)
- Steering Relocator
- Betterboards or Skinz Airframe running boards (may not do this right away)
- Skinz A-arm kit and OFT shock mod (would really like to demo this setup before I pull the trigger)
I'm sure there will be a ton of other stuff - not sure if I will go with a skidplate or not - does anyone have good recommendations for skidplates on the Nytro MTX?

First thing I would go is a Roll Over Valve. If you fall off the sled or roll it or anything the tether shuts off the sled and a valve closes the oil tank breather tube and you won't loose any oil.

When are you expecting to see the sled?
May have to designate an aftermarket parts corner in the garage.

Without a doubt I would do the OFT rollover valve and the steering relocator. I rode mine about three times without and I now would have had the parts waiting in the garage for the sled.
A stock sled needs more fuel if you do anything more than a few hour rides so you will really need it. I would then go suspension from there.

not sure when i get the new sled, they told me no later than october, but probably sooner.
so far everyone has listed about the same mods as i have planned, except maybe the mpi 220 h.p. upgrade, and some hid lights. ill also be adding some gauges such as boost, water temp, and oil pressure. what about hand warmers from rock. i sold him my 2007 attak, so maybe he'll give me back the set i had installed on it for a discount.lol
thanks for all of the info, keep them coming.

These are what I'd do if I was in your shoes, minus the running boards. But I'd also do a roll over valve.
Good ideas!

the roest skid plate is the only way to go , its beautiful .

X2 on the roest skid plate. That thing is awesome. Forgot about the running boards. I think any new sled could benefit from the airframe boards. I didn't have much problem with the boards in really fluffy powder but any thing else was a kick fest the whole day.

It all depends on how much you want to spend. What is your price? My opinion I would keep your sled stock and make changes when needed. I've spent a lot on after market part some good and some bad. Things I like others don't and vica versa. If you decided to change the track and ski's on your new sled I would buy them for the right price.

i dont really have a budget, it will cost what it costs to make it like i want.
just wanting to get some ideas. what about a seat from skinz and exhaust. also, what about clutching on a supercharged sled or does the kit come with it already done?

I would talk to your dealer but part of the dealer prep is supposed to be setting it up for the right clutching at your elevation.

Some good stuff on here so far, I would add these to tmk50's list:
-2.5 CE track
-Yamaha Lightweight Rear Suspension Kit
-OFT two wheel kit
-Hartman Clutching (if dealer does not install clutching for extra power)
-MPI cold air intake for super
-Skinz Under Tunnel setup

thanks so far for the great input. how about risers? brand, height, do i need to get longer cables?. i am looking at the rox risers but i need to find a "t" block adapter, anyone know where to get one, i was told by rox to call skinz.
also, i want to mount some autometer gauges, boost, oil pressure, and water temp. i am looking for mounting options for these gauges, they are 2 5/8". any thoughts.
thanks again for all of the help.

I have a lake effect riser with OFT relocator and like the position a lot. NCI (I think) also has the X-Factor which is nice too. With stock cables.
