Just received news that NY is cutting trail funding by 20% for the 2020/2021 riding season.

This is on top of NY withholding the 30% payout from the 2019/2020 riding season.

I hope NYSSA and every county association takes dictator Cuomo to court over this.

Our trails are 100% self funded by sledders registering their sleds. Each club receives 70% in the fall and the remaining 30% in the spring. The remaining 30% is only paid out if club trail work meets the threshold.

Mother Russia knows best what to do with that excess tax...that is waste it on some special project that produces nothing..absolutely nothing...sad...like where I come from, these guys keep getting elected. Thank god Maine is better than that, part of the tax for gasoline goes into the snowmobile trail system because they recognize snowmobilers are a big part of the overall economy for the state. Joe

This sucks. It is robbery.

Just got back from a club meeting and our county (Cayuga) has the 30% trail $ from the 2019/2020 season and will be distributing it to the clubs shortly.

Also, NYSSA and Parks does not think King Cuomo can hold any portion of the 70%/30% for 2020/2021 season since it is not part of the state general fund

Hopefully, some good news in the year of c-r-a-p
