Most I've seen on here say to slide the muffler/pipes back. In order to do this you probably need to address the front hanger by drilling out the rivets and then riveting back in place when done (you need to do this because the opening to free the muffler is forward and you don't have room to clear the hanger so the whole thing needs to come off. I also tried to just put the donuts in with everything in place (as some had suggested they had done) but I couldn't manage that either.
In the end, I unbolted it from the block (6 allen head bolts) and it was pretty easy.

You may also want to file in between where the bolt closes the donut clamps to ensure you get a good clamp. I replaced my clamps with new ones.

I did mine without drilling out rivets (used large pump pliers to squeeze pipes enough to remove old gaskets and install new copper ones). I used Grizztracks info for a Vector which is similar as the motor is the same (less HP only, obviously different seat, muffler, etc.) Here is Frans link

Looks like the reverse beeper.

The clamps coming loose I think are part of the reason why the gaskets don't last very long.
If you put the copper gaskets in you should have no more trouble with them. If you decide to go with the OEM gaskets again take a little material off of the spacer in the clamp, it will allow you to get them a little tighter and they should last longer.

I just did mine and I drilled out the rivets for the header bracket. Good thing I did because my header was cracked and I repaired that also. I had some of the old gasket material stuck on so it gave me some room to really clean up the surfaces before I put the copper ones on.

We make and sell copper donuts if you need some. They are 16.50 each.

Be sure to check your header for cracks at the hanger bracket. I see a lot of nytro headers where the bracket welded to headers breaks loose.

I got the copper donuts and installed tonight. Just got enough back on"tank some plastic" left the seat off so I could fire it up.. Sounds a lot better. Got all worried and nervous at first because all the wd 40 and pb blaster that was all over the pipes and clamps started to smoke and burn off. Now I just hear the clutch lol
