Nytro MPI speed??

I know they are no top end freak but at 7 psi it sure feels GRAT down low!! In a drag race how fast are they? Vs like a Apex with a turbo? I know the Apex will get her on top but out of the gate to about 660 will the Nytro be in the game? Just that the Nytro hooks so well and is very light!! Both sleds with stock compresion and pump fuel..... Or a F1000??? I am talking trail studs,tracks....

Skydog - Around here running in the trail unlimited class they dominated last season because of the holeshot. The competition RX-1s and Apex's were all rear mounts tho, BTW - all turbo systems on the Yamaha's in that class were MCXpress, could have been quite different with a proper setup front mount Apex or RX-1

Love your new boosted ride? I guess so, great sled. Keep me posted on how she runs, guys around here wants to know about the MPI, but noone runs one yet.

Sounds good buddy!! Yea this MPI Nytro is JUST sick in the grass! It would have holeshot my Rx1 by about 5-6 sleds i bet! Man it is just like pulling a trigger on a gun!! BANG it is gone!! Not sure on mid to top yet....Only ran her up to about 50mph or so... I bet the top end is the trade off.... Time will tell! So far i am in LOVE!!! HA HA HA

I was running around 125 MPH in the 1/4 mile with mine at 8 psi sea leven stage I MPI nytro. Using stock apex gearing in the machine and my own clutching.

Hahaha and I'm not too confident meeting you for a 660ft drag race either, after watching them FX Nytro's fly last season in the trail unlimited class, I have lots of respect for them and will not take anything for granted when up agains them. Even in the MCX rear mount configuration they were crazy fast off the line, the RX-1's and Apex's had to play catch up but could not overtake them in 660 ft.

I'm working on heat shields these days, the PL shields did not fit with my custom header, also had to make a new top shield to go over the turbo. Still waiting for PL to ship me a stage 3 intercooler, some silicone hoses and an oil return kit for the turbo. I have track clips on order to fully clip the track, when clips arrive the drive train and skid is going in shortly after.

If I can get hold of the parts needed some day soon I should have her on the snow by mid December.

Right on Freind!!! Good luck with your beast! keep in touch!! I will let you know what the Nytro does at 7 psi for me in a few drags. I think it is set up real well! (gearing,clutching,1"light track good studs)
