Hi. What can those of you that have compared the two tell me about the improvements? How much better is the performance in deep pow? over all handling? Climbing? easier to get the skis in the air when needed? the new maverick vs the old?
Got a real nice offer from my dealer on a new one
if it that much better than my 08 maybe i will trade it for a 162" if i can be convinced by u guys

28 lbs lighter, better tunnel on 153 and 162, fox floats all the way around, better attack angle, better running boards, new rear skid. track is ok for a stock. Handle bars suck and need an adjustable riser.
IMO Everything that needs to be fixed on the 08 still needs to be fixed on the 10's. Running boards are better, But still weak. Rear skid is better but not great, sub frame is stronger but still weak. Track still needs to be replaced. So to me it would depend on how much is done to your 08 and if you want to start from scratch again.
But Im not your average rider and not much on my 08 was up to par and the same would go for the 10 so I would be doing all the same stuff over again.

I have ridden both - and for my type of riding the 2010 is a better sled IMO.
I think it stays on top of the snow better (track angle and incr floatation from the 162) - that was the biggest thing for me and the type of riding we do - I like the longer tracks.
Handling wise I think they are very similar - I think I prefer the 2010 with the floats and the swaybar gone - but I would need more seat time on both to consider that an "informed" opinion.
