I bought a new to me 2006 Nytro. The guy before me did an oil change before last season. I roughly did 1000kms this season. Do you guys change the oil and filter every season or judge it by the km's put on?
Thanks

I like to change my oil and oil filter after every season. I never get the required mileage a for an oil change in a season. I do mine at the end of the season to get rid of any contaminants in the oil. That way it sits all off season with new fresh oil and filter.
There are many different thoughts of what's the "right way" to do it but this has worked very well for me over the years!

Change oil yes every season the oil gets acidic and should not be run the next year. as far as the filter if it is easy to get to on the Nytro sure its cheap but if it is like the apex and it takes forever and a day to get in by it then its up to you we run the machines on snow not dirt so not much dirt gets into the motor and the manual says you can go like a ridiculous amount of miles on a filter I always changed mine on my apex every other year.

Those are the classic responses
I have with low miles NOT changed. I thought how the synthetics brag about all the ph balancers and stability so I feel lazy when I do it but have done a low mile skip.
That said if I ride it regularly I change it each season proferably in the sping.

Ok, thanks guys. Might just change it anyways. Excuse to spend some time in the garage
