nytro tunnel block off plate?

Grizz
Is your plate flush or does it wrap around the protectors somewhat?

It started out with the flange wrapped around the protectors extending up to the bottom of the tunnel but I was concerned about heat so I cut off most of it leaving about 12" at the rear. I could have bent each flange to 45 degree instead of 90 creating wings that would extend toward the corners leaving a gap for air flow but how I did it accomplished the result I was looking for... No Ice!

If you attach the aluminum to the bottom of the protectors I would think that would work allot better than just covering up the exhaust with the block off plate. After I installed the block off plate it helped some but the snow would still melt and it would build up on the protectors and I stll had the big chunks fallin off and jammin in my tunnel. I removed the protectors but left the ones on my front exchanger alone. Did the trick for me. Recommend 100% Oh and its free!

If you plan to install a bigger lugged track anywhere in the future you might as well remove the tunnel protectors right away..
