Nytro Turbo/Supercharger feedback

Matt, I didn't get any video on long pulls. I need to invest in a helmet cam! I rolled up beside the turbo sled on a longer stretch (going 50 mph) and hammered down (I was on a stock FX Nytro) and the turbo sled put 15+ sled lengths on me in a blink of an eye and ran 15 mph faster in that distance. If we get out again I will try to get some top end video of it. I should have some video of it on the track dyno (showing how fast the boost comes in, supercharger like response) later this week.

i posted this on sw for you allen very cool kit if you get the price right you should sell a ton of them 200hp is fine for most guys & for most simple is better.so hows your vector running.

Thanks bud. Do you have any preliminary HP #s?

Looking at 215 @ 8 lbs on pump gas (91 octane) with no motor work. We will verify those numbers at Dynotech soon.

Vector ran good all season long (still have the SC on it). Now the next project has started (putting a Vector motor in a RMI chassis with turbo)!

Few more pics of the turbo FX Nytro....

So........staying with the stock compression, how much lag with the Ulmer turbo??????

With a Variable Vane turbo I doubt you would have any noticeable lag at all.

This Sled has supercharger like response with all the benefits of a turbo.

So this variable vane turbo, how is it for reliability compared to others?

Reliability is equal if not better than the others. With the self lubricating system of this turbo you don't have to worry about it heating the motor oil and cooking it. We have 4-stroke sleds with 3500miles and no problems and 4-stroke bikes with 50,000+ miles on them with no problems. The only time you will hurt this turbo is if you are stupid and run more boost than it was designed for.

Allen,

When you get to Dynotech to test this turbo, I'd sure like to meet you and check out the turbo. I know Jim's shop is fairly small but I can fit :)

Let me know when your going. Dynotech is about 30 miles from my work.

Wayne

P.S. Are you going to have a setup for an Apex?

Wayne I,ll meet you there also,am looking for the Apex set-up as well, We can push Jim out of the way,he's just a little guy ;)! I used to run the aerochargers years ago (good turbo's)

hell this sounds like a good party, I will bring the pickles. I might have to make the trip with the old man. I going to be doing some tweaks, might like to put her back on the dyno to see what I got again.
