i will sign the power surge order the first day i can on a new x-tx
i rode one and it is totally different than the 08 fx nytro.
i also talked to a yamaha tech advisor and he said before they go into production there will be a fix for the wet left foot. all techs have been riding nytros and trying to find a fix and they think they have it. and most likely will be offered to the 08 nytro owners as well.

I am also going to the power surge and ordering the xtx. I am looking for a new sled after wrecking mine. It seems that Yamaha has a great sled coming out and have not heard a bad thing about the xtx.

This will make a lot of people happy if true. Thanks for the good news.

I'm thinking yes right now. But I want to see everything on the 13th. If Yamaha comes out with a new ultimate performance sled that might be the way I'd go. I may just keep what I have for 1 more year too.

one thing i find interesting with yamaha's new line up comeing on the 13th is jimmy blaze yamaha's freestyle rider has a supercharged phazer. why would a company sponser some one with an aftermarket permormance part like a blower. unless they are useing it as a testing source right under everyones nose's
i feel that they will have sumting comming that will blow us away in a supercharger.

I am definitely thinking about it. However I am annoyed that they have positioned this sled as a crossover Nytro RTX when really it's a crossover Nytro. I have no issues getting rid of the floats up front, but really don't want to lower the quality of the shocks in the skid. I also don't like the handlebar set up (no riser w/ the bicycle handlebars).
It would be pretty sweet to have an XTX-X with Ohlins all the way around and a current RTX steering post/riser/bar set up. Guess we will see what is in store soon but I don't see Yami offering two XTX models.

I would have to agree, I would like the better shock package as well.

I probably wouldn't buy a new sled until 2010.......but OHLINS all the way around might be too much to resist!

The cocept for the XTX is good but I would have no use for the longer track. I will stick with my 08 Nytro for another year and be bolting on HP over the summer. I have never ridden with Olins but IMO I really like the Floats they can handle whatever I throw at them.

Did you do the spindle mod or add the resi's to the floats?

I agree on the shock package. My RTX skid is simply the best I've ever owned. I love all the adjustment on the RTX. I've said before I would like to see shocks like the RTX be std. opperating procedure for all Yamaha's high end stuff. Cudos to Yamaha for the 08 RTX skid. She rocks!

Agree. The XTX is definitely going to be considered. The 13th will tell the tale for me and then I will decide what I will be buying. For now it is Nytro chassis.
I would like to see OHLINS on the Nytro for obvious reasons. Not sure on the Floats?

I will be putting resi's on in the summer but I have done no spindle mods. The resi's will increase the ride height in the front end. I have no other problem with any type of handling the sled corners awesome with 9 inch sharpers. My sled will turn inside a XP without a problem the thing is just on rails even the XP owners agree that it out handles the XP. Dont get me wrong the XP turns good but with the way you are sitting on it there is no way to lock your feet in I really wasnt impressed with anything on it but the motornytroguy said:unpride said:The cocept for the XTX is good but I would have no use for the longer track. DITTO!
Ulmer has the 144 rails with the 2 degree kick up for the nytro's. that way you can have what makes the xtx awesome and still have your rtx skid.
I just can't justify buying a new track already. Maybe after next year. I'll just beat the crap outta the track so I don't feel so bad.
