Installed OFT relocator...love it...I moved cable as per instructions rode 45 miles... perfect and came upon 3 v-ditches back to back . crossed safely but all of a sudden my sled lost all power and ran with intermittent idle(ran like a drag car cammed to hell) Yellow light was flashing. and pic of engine flasing...no code. Shut it off and noticed throttle cable was up over steering block cover. Moved it and restarted and was fine. Pulled into store 100 yards away and turned to park and it did it again, this time throttle cable did not appear caught. Shut it off, started it and fine again....wiggled throttle cable and it reved up slightly and instant light again. trailered it home and in shop doing side to side test and hard right now pulls cable slightly and instant light, still no codes. I understand that my cable must be free and clear....and am trying to figure that out...My concern is how does my sled know cable is pulling and I am not just squeezing throttle.. or have I got another problem? if anyone can help please do I have 2 days till vacation time and dealers will be closed. Thank you all in advance

Post some pictures just in case. Did you check the cable at the throttle body to see if the jam nut has backed off and the cable is loose or is there any issues at the throttle block. Where are you in Saskatchewan.

What are the instructions for the relocate. Move the throttle cable behind the riser instead of in front. Shouldn't make much difference. Is it seated in the throttle block correctly. Here is a pic of the cable at the throttle body. It should be tight there with no movement. Maybe you can pull up on the cable a bit. It worked fine before the relocate so it has to be something simple. Trace back the steps you took and what you moved.

The jam nut should be against the bracket. Couldn't see how much thread was below the bracket but I don't think it is much. On my MTX my cable comes out of the throttle block and over the top of the riser to the front. Your relocate would move everything forward and you would probably need to put the throttle cable behind the steering post where there should now be a gap. I think there is a adjuster close to the throttle block, did you tinker with that at all. To me it sounds like you have the cable stretched to tight . Trying to think if I know anyone in the Melfort area that could help you out. Tough to figure out with out seeing it.
Have you double checked any of the wiring just in case something got pulled apart just a bit.

I agree that now cable is pulling to tight at sharp right turns..and need to address that ... I did not touch cable at all so jam nut has worked itself loose...and ideas on the warning light? is it related? When finished install had no cable to tight issues

Could be related giving you a false signal like a frozen carb or something. I know the jam nut backed off on the wife's sled last year but don't recall any lights coming on, sled was acting funny and revving high, that's what I found. Get the jam jut back in place and relocate the throttle cable and check it again. When ever doing a bar riser or something like that always rotate the bars bot directions to see if there is any binding. To tight one way and the sled could take off and jerk the bars out of your hands when you are least expecting it.

So did you find the problem.

Definately the tors going off. Had the same issue and just adjusted the throttle cable to give 3mm (from memory) of play and it was fine. Also, make sure the throttle cable in properly latched on your bars. There is a small bracket that ensure the throttle is attached at the bars that needs to be fastened correctly.
