Well I changed my throttle cable due to a self inflicted riser issue that broke the crimp on the original one. I ordered a MTX cable as i was replacing it anyways and it was the same price as the regular FX cable and it is about 1.5 inches longer. If anyone does this again i found that if you take off the dash panel, side panels, then take off the brake lever side rad support to gain access to the cable and loosening the rad bolts on the other side. then you need to remove the air box cover to unhook the cable from the throttle linkage. You can see it from the top looking down above the airbox and i found it easier to remove the rad support to allow the rad to move further up, to do this you need to remove the top bolts on the steering post to gain clearance to remove it. Then you can use two screw drivers to remove the throttle cable from the linkage and unscrew the throttle cable from the bracket. Here is the cables together and what my sled looked like with 560 kms on it after my stupid mistake...
