Ohlins Electronic shock on the APEX GT

You guys are missing the point. I for one am not ordering the GT because the ease of adjusting the rear shock rather the fact that it's an Ohlin ;)! The front shocks are the real easy ones to adjust. No more spanner wrench for the one type of shock or an air pump for the fox :ORC

Asolutely agree...! Don't forget it's the coolest color... 8)

I would bet many who are coming off a differnt brand sled would be more likely to buy into the hype more easily than the savy consumers on this board.

I found know fewer than 5 blue 05 rx1's the week before xmas within 60 miles from home.

Im sure a lot of the Yamaha die-hards will opt for the Ohlins. Remember back in '97, the SX 600 was the most sought-after sled that year because it came with Ohlins.
I personally have never ridden a sled with Ohlins on it, but Ive heard thats one of the best things you can do to improve the ride and handling of a ProAction Yamaha.
The biggest thing for me about the GT is the fact that the shocks are both compression AND rebound adjustable. My XC would ride a whole lot better than it does if I had shocks that had that much adjustability. Right now, it has waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much rebound!

I bet you $10 that there will be no shortage (its all BS to get people to mad rush in to dealers and order early). They haven't even built them yet. They will build based on what they percieve to be the demand based on the number of early sales.

I'll bet ya $20 that you're right.... 8)

I Called what I belive is the states Biggest yamaha dealer. He said there were not any Shortages of the Gt's

I called another smaller one and he said If I dident Order it by the end of this week I would be unable to get one.

I asked my dealer what was with the limited supply and he said it just means if he only orders 10 gt's by april 4 he will only get 10 in the fall no more no less.

My understanding of this is dealer have to order all sleds by friday 3/4/05. This includes all spring orders and the dealer stock for next season. The dealer can change is order (only increase #'s) on any mach except for the GT. This increase the risk for the dealer (order to many) on that model if he doesn't all the spring orders in excepts. The other models he can increase the # if there are more spring orders.

A Sled Shortage...LMAO....Yamaha has so many 05 RX1's that they are back on the web site with the 2006 models..HYPE it is...It probably would be a good thing if they would short produce a couple of years, Maybe they would appreciate used sleds a little more. :drink:
