Will a rear Ohlins from a 2007 Apex 121" GT fit the new 2011 Apex 128" with the mono shock II??

I'm thinking of making the switch. :bling

Thanks guys

The shock in all mono are the same basic lengh as they say the mega shock fits all mono rear susp. i can tell you that Yamaha has really done a good job on calibration with the new apex and you should ride it before you spend money to improve it. My 2011 (just like yours) is the first yamaha I have owned that I didn't spend money on to make it ride better. The only things that I have done are; dupont slides, exxcel wheels (before the sliders were available) and "Tuner skiis" highly recommened. Man its a long summer.

Dont bother with that Ohlins... the stock Valving in the new Apexes are way better...

Even if your rebuilt the Ohlins? Im thinking at 6000miles the stock shock is due for a rebuild also

Maybe ... you have only electronic compression, manual rebound... the stocker has a range of adjustment with the dial that adjusts both. The seal wont last as long... and they usually fail sooner ... Now you could have bjowett build you one and you may have better luck.

Daranello- An Ohlins Monoshock will fit in there -- same C to C distance.

Also, I agree for you to send it off to bjowett also. He can revalve the Ohlins to make it better. The quality of the Ohlins is great, but the stock valving is terrible on them -- to cushy and prone to bottoming. Bjowett can fix this. I have his contact number if you need it. I'd also have him make your compression a manual clicker just like the rebound is on the Ohlins, then you don't have to worry about broken EC wires.
