The sled was running fine a fluids were checked 50 or so miles before sled shut down at around 50 mph. When we tried to restart we heard a rap and towed it back to garage. We checked the oil and it was black and smelt burnt ( oil and filter changed 400 miles a go). I would appreciate any ideas.

What type of oil and filter was used? Any other warnings before the sled shut down? What kind of sled are we talking about? More info will be needed before anyone can start helping you.

Did you leak oil out somehow along the way (i.e., tip the sled over or oil leak out around filter or drain plug)? It sounds like you were running extrememly low on oil. Any codes or warning lights?

If your having a problem with raping I suggest you talk to your local police department. Remember, no means no.

did you get it used, probably been burnt previously and now showing its face. very unusual for a sled to commit a sexual crime
