Sounds pricey, too bad they won’t give you a discount!
Buy mine from the dealer that I purchased sled from back in 2017. I and everyone else that I talk to get a % discount for all in stock items. Nothing but Yamaha oil and filters so far, and for a once a year oil change that seems to be working fine! They also stand behind their work and the warranty! How much is that worth??
RX1 used quite a bit, Apex used a bit of oil, this 998 not a drop, and with the way I run it. I hope it continues like that.

If I had warranty when I bought my 09 Nytro, or my 03 Viper, it would have been worthless. Nothing that would have been warrantied ever broke on them. Warranty on my Sidewinder likely will come in handy. Probably not for the engine though. But if Yamaha wouldnt have ditched me in my town, I likely would stick with the Yamalube.
