I have a question on changing the oil on an apex with the front mount boondocker turbo, this is the first turbo sled ive owned and my question is with the oil tank, since its relocated where the battery is how do you drain it? Or will it drain when draining the crank case? Any help would be appreciated, thanks

Never thought of that. Typically you pull off the oil hose at the bottom of the tank. Will that drain through the inspection plate under neath now? Never seen a picture with the oil tank located there before. You need to actually drain both, the crankcase has about 1/2 qt in it and the tank as the rest. Take some pictures of it. I would like to see how its mounted in there.

I used to just suck mine out with an extractor a couple times a season depending on the miles I was getting. With the oil going through the turbo too I tried not to run it over 500 miles in the motor but didn't mess with worrying about getting it all since I was changing it that often.

Kinger I will try to take some pics and upload them once I get it in my shop to change the oil.
Mysledblows, I think thats what I will end up doing, my brother ended up pulling the hose on his and it went everywhere, huge mess.
Thanks guys for the help!

Well guys turns out the oil filter wasnt as much of a pain as I thought it was going to be to get to, once I removed the battery I could get just enough access to it.
