Oil filters other than Yamaha

I use K & N as well for both our Apex and Vector LTX. Love the nut on filter for removal.

I never change my oil filter on my SC sled its there it sees zero dust, the oil is almost as clean coming out when it goes in. I do change oil annually but even debating on leaving that for 2-3 years. I agree I change both oil and filter once a year every spring prior to storage. This last year I used Canadian Tire full synthetic 5w30 in all my sleds with no problems. Pure one oil filter in all my stuff for the last 5 years no problem again. The oil still looked pretty good when I changed it.

Sasquatch, try a motorcycle/sled shop/similar dealer and see if they carry or can get Hi-Flo filters?

I get mine at a private Motorcycle repair shop for $10 bucks each, and he sells a pile of them to motorcycle and atv riders and has for years now.

Try a dealer search through hi-flo as well, you might see something there?

My dealer in Medicine Hat only used and sold the HIFLO filter he was a dealer for kawasaki as well.
 
All you have to do is mark the back of the oil filter door and trim it out to a little before the mark, an the filters in first post will fit. Worked on my 10 Vector!

In the tank like what was already metioned.
Be sure to remove the oil line first from the elbow so the screen and assembly comes straight down out of the tank.

I just removed the 2 bolts first not thinking the screen was very long and ended up busting one of the welds off :o|
 
In the States citgo makes it.

I thought Yamalube was made by Life Automotive Products and they are headquartered in Tennessee. I thought I read that somewhere. Does anyone know the Mobil 1 filter part number for the FX Nytro?
