Oil leak under motor....

Seems like the winds of S**t blow at the end of my season,got an oil leak under the engine and i need to find out where its coming from so i got one question,can you run the motor without the airbox on?

Well i just went out and removed the skid plate and bottom engine cover to find the leak and i noticed a rubber hose that seem to be leaking the oil.This hose runs under the engine, through a metal holder held by a small bolt,then runs up and under the oil filter to the round oil cooler on the front of the motor.Going to run the engine tomorrow to make sure,this seems to be a NEW problem for RX-1 owners to watch out for.Keep you posted on my results.

Well i found the source of my leak,the oil filter with the small dents started to leak through a hairline crack on the side of the filter.Changed the oil and replaced the old filter(part#3FV-13440-10)with the shorter one(part#5GH-13440-20)which i installed with my 3/8 socket filter wrench.Ran the sled on very deep/soft snow and everything seems fine.Both filters will work but one is much easier and safer to install without using cave-man tools and bleeding hands.
