My oil tank seams to be weeping along the seam at the bottem right side, right near the mounting bolt.
Anyone have this happen and anyone try running a bead of weld along the seam?
Almost 18,000km on it

This is a common problem. I have not heard of people welding them, but others will chime in.

had mine welded, make sure to weld front side, and backside of crack. two years, still holding. oh, i also put rubber washers under mounts for a little vibration isolation.

Got my oil tank off. Pluged all the holes and pressurized it and its weepping at the corner in between the pencil marks on the front and back.
When i clean the oil off it takes 10 to 15 sec. of pressure before any oil starts to weep.
Do you guys think J.B. weld will do or some weld weld. I have a 40X magnifien glass and when theres no oil you cant see any sign of a crack or hole on either side but when i put pressure on it , it starts to seep.

Thoughts would be welcome.

I would not jb weld it for the simple reason of hot and cold will eventually cause the jb to fail. Take it out and weld it.

You can have it welded for way less than 150. Take it off and weld it.
