After finding cables outside clamp on my Riser, prompted me to go thru my new SE more carefully. First thing I noticed was Crankcase Breather not pushed on and kinked!

Of course now I have to remove Airbox to check everything installed ok. Worse than that 2 Boot Clamps over torqued and twisted to crap, also distorting boots @ Throttle Bodies! :die

Now to deal with the manager!!!GRRRRR!

Interested to know if the dealer was in there to take a look see because it didnt come from Yamaha like that im sure!

Pretty sure they have to connect the battery, so airbox removal is required. No I'm sure Yamaha wouldn't be so sloppy! The Punk who PDI'd should be fired!

Makes you feel good about spending 15K. I am glad my dealer has one guy who puts them together and he is good at it.

What are you doing complaining here? I'd be on the phone to the dealer in about 30 seconds flat, and rip them the proverbial new a$#-hole.

Gotta luv it, charge you 15K for a new sled and can't even set it up properly. If you don't get some concession out of the dealer, I'd fire em.

Good point i forgot they had to hook the battery up.

You mean you wouldn't be pissed?

These "mistakes" are inexcusable, especially coming from a dealer who is suppose to have trained tech's/mechanics who are suppose to be representing and upholding Yamaha's reputation.

I feel for Ithappens, it's not something you expect nor should expect when buying "anything" new :o|

So this is ok by your standards? If he ran the sled and it come apart just take it back and have warranty fix it during the riding season. your killing me with that statement. They (Yamaha) send these people to school to prep these thing and it is unacceptable....

well the are mistakes, then there are what happend to Ithappens. There are quite a few things gone wrong, its not like the dealer just forgot to say charge the battery.

I would be pissed too...

Yup OK meaning what they did to that sled is not ok.

Sorry, this is what I was referring to.

Yes, I would be pissed.

that looks like some one was under the gun and rushing to get something done, people make mistakes sure, but the air box is a simple task that techs should be able to do in there sleep. My advice is keep is cool with the dealer and see what his solution is.... it might be pritty good. (i hope it is good!) or you may have to do some ;):D
