Well I had been out riding most of the day, yesterday, and then in the evening stopped at a place for a few hours to eat and talk with some people. About 3 hours later came out to leave, started the sled to let it warm up. It started fine but neither the headlight or the taillight were on when the motor was running. (Also note I think it was -5* and 20-30 mph winds.) So then I looked at the guage pod and the yellow light was on and in the display the oil can was on. So I shut the machine off, and then restarted it again and still the light was on, so I repeated that a couple more times and finally the oil light stayed off.? What the , but the lights still were off. Then after about a minute the lights came on and I headed home, with no problems.
So my question is what was causing the oil light to come on and why the light were staying off? I thought that I remember of somebody have a problem with a oil line getting pinched off by water and snow freezing in the engine bay? With this being said, it was the first time that it had sat out in the cold and not back in my shop to melt off.

Check the oil level, it may be just a little low. Headlight deal was probably just moisture in a relay.................

Ok, lets say that I am a idiot and don't know how to check my oil. But I do thanks! Now why would the oil light come on when it was started cold and stay on for a lenght of time?
I remember hearing about snow and water building up around some oil line and freezing pinching off the line when setting out in the cold? Or am I not thinking about the right sled?

There is no oil line that I'm aware of. Correct me if I'm wrong, but you have the oil reservior and the engine, that holds the oil. The connection between the reservior and the engine is a metal tube, not plastic or rubber. I would chaulk it up as really cold temps playing tricks on you. Although I never had any problems like that when I rode in -14, so I guess I have no basis in my theory.

I remember on my Vector (and my brother's Venture) the headlight and LCD gage would not come on right away when starting it up on colder days. I think it's some sort of programming function in the circuitry to save the battery.
Next time it happens, just let it run until the headlight comes on and see if the oil light goes out then. If it goes out when the lights comes on, then it's probably has to do with the cold startup and most likely not a problem with your oil, or sensors.

Let me first start by saying that if you are going to be sarcastic and treat other forums members in a negative manner, you probably aren't going to get a lot of help.
First off, we have no way of knowing your experience with machines, so asking the simple questions is valid. Often times a solution is something simple. Secondly, if you don't want to be asked questions on things you have already done, then provide more information. Tell us that you have checked the oil etc.
Now as to your problem. Based on what you described I believe you have 2 separate issues. You have a problem with your electrical circuit somewhere. It could be as simple as a relay, or a wire. I would suggest breaking out a meter and testing the various connections of the circuit.
The only time I have ever seen a yellow oil warning light was when I rolled my machine and the oil in the reservoir escaped into the filter. It took about 5 minutes before the light went off. I didn't ride, just idled. I assume the oil needed time to settle and for the level to be higher than the warning indicator mark.

Just the other day when I was out on my first day of riding I stopped at a buddies house and after an hour or so when I left the oil light came on but only lasted for about a min or two.

Nobody was a assuming you are an idiot! It's just that quite a few people were checking the oil with the dipstick screwed in! You're not supposed to do this on the Nytro! This was a valid question posted by rrxx-1!

You are correct about the pinched oil line. One member on here stated that he had seen the issue "first hand". The oil line from the bottom of the oil resevoir had been collapsed by the buildup of ice in that area. Starved the engine of oil & I believe it seized. Check for ice buildup in that area if you are worried. Use prefilter on the body panel vent if you want to eliminate ice buildup.
More likely you are experiencing the same thing I had last year. Oil level is a C-hair too low & will trigger the dummy light. Top it up slightly and you're good to go.

As for your headlight/taillight issue, it doesn't sound to be a fuse as it's intermittent. The headlight has it's own relay, but both lights are tied to the Load Control Relay.
Find it and meter the Red & White wires. you should have continuity across these two pins. If you don't - replace the relay.
If you want to test the headlight relay for shitz n giggles - you'll have continuity across the blue/white wire & the yellow wire.

Try to put your thumb on the relays to warm them up for a few seconds,thats what my dealer told me to do if this happend.
or if the starter wont hit when you turn the key
One of the relays in front is for the headlight,but just warm them all to be sure.
