Old Forge Headcount 2/9/08

Thanks Millstreet. I just got off the phone with the guys and I guess it looks like we are staying/booked at the Resevoir Inn in Redfield (Tug Hill area). Soooo, it looks like we will ride from Redfield over to Slickers. Has anybody done this? How long will it take? Other question is...if we trailer over to slickers, do we still have to purchase a OF trail pass?

It is about 100 miles by sled from redfield....maybe a little more. Plan on about 2.5-3 hours. If you get a real early start from Redfield, you might catch fair trails. Also, you will either stay south and go through Boonville or head north and go through Brantingham. Both of those areas need a little snow. I rode Booneville, Brantingham, and Old Forge last weekend. By Sunday, the snow was getting pretty light in those areas especially around Brantingham. Why staying in Redfield? If your going to buy the trail pass, Old Forge has much better riding and nightlife. If you can't find a room in Old forge, stay at the Headwater Inn in Boonville. It is only about 30-40 miles by sled to Old Forge and about 90% of the trail is very nice up to Old Forge.

Because of the back roads and stuff, It is about an hour and 15 minute drive from Redfield to Old Forge.

Thanx Stoutner. I have never been to THill or Oforge. My buds went up to TH last weekend and stayed at the Resevoir Inn in Redfield. Therefore, they booked again for next weekend but unfortunatly I didnt stumble across this event till after the fact. I havent talked to them today yet to see if he was able to cancel the reservations/down payment for the Resevoir Inn. I am trying to convince them we should stay in Old Forge. As you said and I have heard before its better riding. If my brother commits to going we may just let my buds do their own thing and trailer the extra hour to Old Forge for better riding.

I have a room at Clarks Beach and I am going for sure. Waiting to get an answer one way or the other from Justin at Full Power if he will get away for the weekend, but that will only dictate whether we then take my 2 place enclosed or his 4 place tandem axle race trailer. Either way i'd be happy to go with you. Just pray for snow.

This is just a fun get together. Not official, no enty fee or prize $$$ except some wings and beer (asking 4 optional donation to TY), and bragging rights.
Started as which type of forced induction was best for trails.

All are welcome, even your Ditch Pickles , but you have to trail ride to the lake / race in order to be eligible for the trail machine title...
i think a few were bringing lake racers, dropping off at the lake, just to "play and display"... I'm going with a stock machine.

MB, at this point it looks like there will be six or seven of us going (I know, what a drastic turn around). I will be trailering up with baggs66 from the site here and then we will meet up with three others. We will leave Friday morning/afternoon and end up staying in Redfield at the Resevoir Inn. Myself and baggs66 (maybe the others as well) will trailer down to Slickers on Sat.morning to meet up with everyone. If things turn for the worse with the crew I am going up with...I will certainly get a hold of you. I am going up no matter what...I will sleep in the truck if I have to in order to ride..lol. I only have 500 miles on thus far this year and my goal was for 2,000 (thats not going to happen). I am wayyyy behind. Thanks again MB. Look for us up there...I will be on a blue ER, also, there will be two other 06 Apex GT's(black), a green firecat, an srx and two Rev's with me. I will buy ya a beer just for offering me a ride up.
