You guys must have a hard time hookn' up? Sorry to but in but I use a set of x2 triple threats and I can run my strap one or two up from center hole. I hook like you read about and the ski pressure is perfect. This set up is way more confident than a rev, you would have to do some mods to the rev to get it to handle as good as my attak with these usi skis. NO JOKE! Good luck.
I have the weight transfer coupler bolts turned up about 3/4 of the way towards max transfer.
This really is an ideal setup IMO.
Straight line acceleration with almost any conditions I "just" lift the skis enough that I can swing them back and forth and still "almost" go straight (they are just touching the ground). This is with me sitting down, but keeping my weight back a fair bit. If I stand on the running boards and throw my weight back as I punch it, I can lift the front end way off the ground and do a big wheelie for about 20 feet if I want to.
At the same time, I can roll the power on through a corner and if I want and I'm up against the tank, with enough throttle I can break the back end free and swing the back end out. Never do I lift the skis enough in a corner to loose steering.
Also, in the first 30 feet I haven't yet been beaten in a straight line against anything, including REV-XP 800Rs. Admittedly I've only lined up in total maybe a dozen times, but still this shows acceleration isn't exactly bad.
The other advantage to running a lot of weight transfer at the couplers is it softens up the first 3-4" of suspension travel and provides a more comfortable ride.
This setup is an excellent compromise that really doesn't compromise all that much. Its an excellent all around performer.
I guess the steering is fairly heavy, but I still don't have any trouble with 12+ hour riding days - day after day.
