So Ill be in the market for a used sled and want a 4 stroke. Wanted a rx1 but was told they are really heavy. Will most be trail ridden. Whats your guys opinions on some sleds any brand and what years they were made.

right now I ride the APEX RTX 144" and I have a APEX MTX. I love them both they are the best trail sled/backwoods sled I have own. walk out and trun the key and go riding. Alot of poeple talk about the the Apexs big hard to ride but if you are a bigger guy you will love owning one. :yam: :4STroke: :rocks:

So, not to sound like a smart-arse, but unless you're the proverbial 98 pound weakling, why do you care about the weight?

Since you shouldn't be digging it out all the time, you really don't feel it ......unless you ride a lot of twisties with the stock skis.....they are fairly miserable.

^ YA yamaha's ski suck big time I'm running the Ski-doo piolt 6.9s and love them alot nicer

Im 6'3" 240 so I shouldnt have a problem just new to the sport and looking for some good advise. I already have a sxr700 and am looking for a 2nd ski for my wife to ride on occasion with electric start and reverse and I want it 2 be a 4 stroke.

If your looking for a nice sled for the wife. You can find great deals on the 07 and earlier Vectors. Great sled, very comfortable, great hand warmers, and handles very well on the trails.

Not looking for a sled FOR my wife but one that she cna ride occasionally. The vector looks nice for sure. Was thinkin I shlould get efi too. Whats your opinion on them?

The Apex is not just for the "proverbial" big guys; I weigh 200 lbs. or so and I follow no one on my Attak (especially my 'Doo riding in laws) ;)! ;)! ;)! ;)!

You'll love any of the new Yammi 4 strokes. I love the Apex/Attak chassis, but I am recently beginning to really appreciate the new FX chasis alot -- my next sled will most likely be an XTX or MTX Nytro.....

Actually try riding all of them some how.... rent them, borrow them, test ride them, etc., etc.... I can't stress that enough. And not just around the block, really ride them. You'll find the Yammi sled that's right for you!

Look at Apex Attack GT or Apex LTX GT all fuelies & all ride very well & can adjust rear supsension for you or your wife with push of a button.

The only other sleds that I had are ski-doos and one John Deer. For the ski-doos the only one I like was the wifes mxz 500ss that thing could go like hell. And the mach Z I had we will just say it was nice to see it go.
