OTIS frozen w/ 3" as of Saturday 12-18

OTIS reservoir in western mass. froze over this week and appears to be close to 100% socked in. Last night added another inch of ice for 2-3" total.
At 10F it puts on 1" per night. The lake should be ready by next week.

Again this year, we plan to keep the 1/2 mile strip plowed for drags.
SRXMAGIC and I will set dates for runs depending on conditions.
We'd like to see more Mod sleds this year, especially turbos and Muck Z's if they can keep them together.

I'm just up the road (30 miles) from Freddies , so I hope he'll participate with some of his new iron. mods. He's always welcome to bring up and test new set-ups.

MAGIC has the SRX ready for the ice this year!
He's been running under 10 sec @ 130MPH + @ 1/4 mile on the asphalt.
Who's going to be the first to beat him!!

Should be a good year.

I will say this to even mention the machZ and the RX-1 with a turbo on it in the same sentence is funny. The Mach is fast for a stock sled but that's it!!!

A good friend down the street has the Mach Z 1000.
So there will always be one around OTIS this winter to play with.

That sounds good. I'll be looking for somewhere to go after christmas weekend if there's only a few trails open. I've got to see how the mods affected the sled.

Just finished my turbo project and need some time to get my clutching straight. I will be watching your post for safe ice. I am also looking for a newer JR skid if you now of any. See you soon.
