Is that 114 radar or speedo?bbtwins said:I think you are where you need to be. I would say that at 114!!!! why would you think you need to mess with it anymore. Who else has seen this speed ever on a nytro truthfully? Don't worry about top rpm if it can pull 114!!!!.

You're fine at that RPM. You have virtually the same HP from 8600 all the way up to 9400 rpm.

GPS. Never look down at the speedo. I'm hoping I can get on it tonight after going to 6 and 1. I'd like to see what I can get out of it with the rpm's in range. Funny you guys haven't seen numbers like that. I was constantly at 110 gps'd with just it clutched, geared and piped. I lost all my power when I put in the power commander and the k&n kit. Now that its been adjusted its picked up and of course the rpm's did too. I didn't think those add-ons would bring me so much hp. More than I expected to have to compensate. So Allen, I won't notice a difference going back from 2 to 1? I know the backshift will be hard for sure.

Remember, it was basically a highway. In sugar it was anywhere from 103-108. There is another guy I met on the trail and he said he's around 110 too.

I'm focused on the rpm's. I do know what the speeds are. I posted them earlier. Top speed anywhere from 112-116 on the speedo if it means so much to people. Speedo's are out 3-6mph. Why watch them? I'm concerned about bringing the rpm's down.

Going to be a little sugary this weekend. For sure I'm going to lose a little but hell like it was said by another poster, if I can pull even 108 on GPS I'm doing good. Far cry from that 97 I was getting a few weekends ago. Is nobody else getting these gains with the Ulmer kits? I bought this Nytro from a close friend and he told me out of the box he was getting 103-105, which even he thought was a lot for a Nytro.

Haven't touched it yet. Maybe tomorrow. I have to run out to my cabin so I should be able to play. After reading Allen's info it probably isn't going to change much, but we will see. I am still worried I'm going to lose bottom end going to 6 and 1. With these Nytros you need the holeshot if you want to stay in the hunt with the XP's. But there is great conditions here right now.

I'll try a few different settings. I really don't expect that much, more of a test than anything. I know this sled shouldn't be doing what it is for speed for sure. I had such good conditions last week with wind at my back but I'm curious just as you are. We are sitting at -15 celcius right now and its pretty hard packed. I'd definately be out tonight if I didn't have hockey. I'll be at the lake tomorrow afternoon. I'm sure the conditions on the Lee River should be great.

Still no luck. Not very good conditions where I rode today. Constant 105 on GPS. Speedo had 114 on it so its down a little. Last week it was anywhere from 114-116 on the speedo. But even after adjusting to 6 and 1 I'm still at 9180rpms at full throttle. It felt like it was spinning alot too. I have no idea now. I definitely have the pull and it doesn't seem to fall off but I would love to get those rpm's down. Allen are you out there? Whats my next trick?
I'm thinking 2 things last week. 1 My gps is a piece of #*$&@ or 2 the stars were aligned and the wind was about 100mph pushing me. lol

you dont adjust top rpm with the secondary. you need more tip weight in the primary. you have to decide what you want for top rpm. allen says same power from 8600-9400, but your probably aiming for under 9000. adding 1 gram to tip should drop rpm aprx. 200.
