mike,
didn't get a chance, ran out of snow too early this year.
i did adjust my secondary to the mtx setting though & will see how that does. i didn't have any problems with ulmers clutch (no weights) & b2 secondary if i remember right.

another turbo phazer has popped up for sale here. a 07 gt for $5000 seems a little cheap no pictures too bad cause i want it. but stock phazers are selling here for 5000 which is odd for a turbo

Update -- I shouldn't be allowed near wrenches. As I was pulling the handlebar up to bolt it onto the Lake Effect Riser, something snapped, sounded like it was just a zip tie. Now I'm getting code 84, so it looks like I pulled some funny business with my throttle cable. Haven't had the patience yet to tear half the snowmobile apart to see exactly where the throttle cable hooks into...

Things are never as easy as they seem, or "ten min jobs", lol. This is why dealers get paid the big bucks, they can do it in 1/4 the time.

The worst thing about a Phazer is having to dismantle it to repair a $1 part.

plans are to upgrade rear suspension new fox zero pros are on way with stiffer spring also some cold air intake pods to try. next will try rear bigger wheel kit and x click blok to stiffen up rear springs.

I pretty much did the same thing. Just start removing stuff to chase the throttle cable down - pretty straight forward. Just below the bracket that holds the cable bundle is a boot over the throttle cable, roll that back and out of the way, under the boot is an adjuster. My cable pulled out of the top of that assembly. Real hard to get back in the jacket does not want to go in. I trimmed it back, put some tape on it and was good to go. I had to route the throttle cable out side of the steering column to get it to work.
All good and riding after though.

It might also be the little metal clip that holds the throttle cable at the thumb throttle. If its not seated properly it "clicks" and throws the 84 code. I had to re-bend the clip to "catch" the throttle cable and I haven't had a problem since.
Or the throttle cable is too short and you will need an extension.

I started my fix at the thumb end and ended up chasing down hill. I put on the Lake Effect 2 or 2.5 (forgot what the exact rise is) riser and did not need an extension (did have to reroute though, not obvious until you swing the bars completely side to side).
