What's everyone doing for mods over the summer??

pulling the motor out, high comp pistons, rods, head studs, shaving five thou more off the head, new ti valves + springs.. and get it ready to drop into the Viper!

Are you going to keep it n/a yukon?

Yes I had a 2008 nytro boosted at 240 for 6000kms with no problems but i could not tinker on it..... With this engine built I will get my tinker time in and build up on the engine that I built this year!
I really like the idea of a N/A motor, everyone expects me to roll out on a huge turbo but a N/A motor will be a good suprise and i can run it in more classes in the drags and in the hills! I have always wanted to do up a nytro motor and now that i have the time and means GAME ON!

Hey Yukon, what are you thinking the ballpark hp gain will be with the N/A mods your doing? Will you likely have to run 91 due to increased comp ratio?

Sweet! Should be interesting to watch this one :sled1:

Well, I ordered Rock's HID's, received an email from Star Suspension that they have a kit for the MTX, researching a clutch kit for flatland setup. I have torn my sled apart in the spring with full intentions to work on it over the summer, but that never happens.

As it stands now I can very easly keep up with a nytro supercharged in drags and in the hills.... I wish I had a dyno closer to home so I could give you guys exact number and not this guessing game.... If anyone knows if oft or any of the shops up in ak have a dyno I will go right up one weekend and find out for sure what she has before I build another one! My dream ometer say 170 and so far once someone has tried the machine no one has argued that number even most two stroke guys it catches off guard. As it stands no I do run only 91 because where shaved the head ect our mechanic filled the head with oil and measured it out and we figured I have close if not able the same compression ratio as a new 2011 apex

underground performance in anchorage has a dyno.

I think I need to find a dyno that runs off of the crank. , I a only interested in the engine hp However I would like to know how good my tuning is and see what she gets to the ground
