Is the popular consensus here that Powermadd riser blocks are the way to go? I'm thinking 2" on my MTX should do the trick, not sure if the pivoting action is needed here. Also getting closer to getting the Rollover Valve Kit...

Lake Effects (site sponsor) makes really nice risers. I like them better than the Powermadd blocks.

Lastt night I installed a rollover lit, float plat with bumper, ice scratchers, radiator grill, swaybar quick disconnect.
Plan to add a 151, 9" big wheels, freedom axle, airbox modqand a tunnel block off plate. When I have the funds I plane a suoercharger and a EZryde. I forgot Simmons Gen II's.

What radiator grill did you install (I assume you are referring to a rad protector)? Any problem with it touching against the radiator (especially on the top right corner of the rad)?Lashcat said:Lastt night I installed a rollover lit, float plat with bumper, ice scratchers, radiator grill, swaybar quick disconnect.

i put the yamaha one on last season and i would sugest it to everyone. it protects very well.
i had a chance to test how well it hods up this season when an oncoming sled was unable to stay on the right side of the trail. it took on tree branches at 80km/h and there was no damege to the rad. When i stopped to see make sure everything was good i could see that some of the branches where big enough that they could have easyly punctured through and ended my ride right there. best 40 bucks ive spent on the sled.

All winter I have upgraded front of sled and steering with ulmer bushing ,bushmans steering kit, oft steering block, and nci balljoint upgrade and front is tight as can be with all those joints in sled. now I want to upgrade rear thinking first of new shocks and wondering can I just change the rear shock and get a better ride she handles big bumps okay but can't keep up on stutter bumps. Any thoughts? also looking to change boogies to ones wiyh replaceable and greese able bearings any other info on what to do to help rear suspension while I'm at it let me know please.

I am not sure if the mtx has re valveable shocks but i would start with that. they guy i had do mine turned out very well. much improved and now i can't justify spending money on a new shock.
if you are going to buy wheels go right for the excell wheels, i hear good things about it.

I went with the Yamaha radiator protector. Install was easy, nothing touching.

Are the Excell wheels the larger ones to replace the 5" Yamaha ones that were being talked about on here earlier this season?kodak said:no revalvable skocks on mtx thats why I need to change shocks stock one suck but alot of dough to do both at one time trying to do one at a time will probaly try excell wheels have also heard good things. thanks.

I installed a PowerMadd PowerRiser 325 for a 2" increase. Well worth the $50. Very comfortable standing.Just unbolt the handlebars, bolt the unit in place and then bolt the handlebar to the unit. Did not have to extend any cables - just re-route the throttle cable under the handlebar.
I went with it as it allowed me to use my windshield mounts without changing anything. It doesn't really pivot much but does give you some adjustability. I have pictures of it installed somewhere on the forum. Just search for the PowerRiser 325.
