Problem. I have a great group of friends that want to come up to WI or UP to ride. They are from PA and are the most aggresive group of 5 riders as a whole that I have ever ridden with. All racers or former racers who dont care about anything other than riding. One is flying from Florida to PA and then driving to UP to meet up. This ride is supposed to start fri night. Now last year I rode with them in NY and PA. That ride was planned and cancelled many times over the years due to snow and work conditions. It was the best riding I had in many years. I dont expect that now but do expect to make them happy and ride the whole three days without running into issues because of low snow or water. I have put it on hold for now but Wednesday I will have to make the call. So I need your help. Houghton is furthest west we would like to go but anywhere east in MI doable or should we just wait till better conditions?

The rain and warm temps killed us in central......didn't stop a LOT of people from riding yesterday though........I'd be willing to bet the slider and carbide dealers were ecstatic.......couple with that the forecast through the week only calls for possibility of "snow showers".......I'd wait a while if you can
I was hoping you would reply Buddah. Thanks for the honest but tough truth.

2 of the guys from coffee who are from Escanaba but have a place near here said it was absolutely the worst they ever rode.......rough and icy.........everywhere......I won't take mine out again, even with ice scratchers, until we get some snow on top........I was hoping you would reply Buddah. Thanks for the honest but tough truth.

West of Big Bay (Michigan) and up the Keweenaw (where Houghton is) is okay. Wawa Ontario is better.

In the woods northwest of Newberry is also ridable, but not great. The problem is that if you ride from town to town there is a lot of bad riding near the towns.

I just got back from Marquette, rode to Houghton and back and boondocked in the area and the trails were getting pretty mushy when I left Saturday morning, lots of base though. Most of the snow was from Big Bay to Houghton, anything south of Trail 8 was mediocre
