So I painted my skis without thinking that maybe they will chip.. Anyone know what paint will hold up on my skis? Maybe if I sand them down first? So the paint can grab something? But any help would be appreciated!

Don't think you'll find any paint that will hold up to skiis! They take a beating and flex, never heard of anyone even trying that.

Theres not paint that will withstand what the ski goes through. Did you not see that the plastic itself scratches and even chunkes? Best bet if anything is krylon fusion which bonds to plastics (no sanding) what color ski are you trying to paint? and what colored paint? It is possible to dye white skis colors or colored skis black.

It wont work period. I tried painting a set of handles which is the same plastic. I scudded them then applied plastic adhesion promoter then krylon fusion paint. I let them dry for a week ans when I checked adhesion I could scrape the paint off easily. Hope that helps. Shane

Had really food luck with kylon fusion on the side panels but don't think it will fly on the skis

This is my wife's ride. The skis are Simmons gen3 with the outer edge cut off 2"
The skis were sanded and then I used the Plasti-dip primer and about 6 coats of Plasit-dip rattle can paint. I only painted the top of the ski and the sides. The sides wore off fairly quickly, but the top has lasted 500km with no sign of failure. I have re touched up the sides for this season. Touching up the Plasti-dip is quick and easy. I find that room temp works best. I also painted them over the summer months. And let cure for a couple of months before use.

The skis were black and now white. I want them to be white. I just thought that it might work. Could I dye the black skis white?
