ive been reading on TY for the last few seasons about the power commander V fuel controller and I have a few questions that I know someone here will be able to answer.
Basically I have found a good deal on a used one but the map is unknown. Are the maps uploaded to the unit via USB on a laptop? If so, can people email various maps to each other? If the maps can be shared via email, would it be possible to have a database of maps on this site (with a disclaimer of some type). That being said, maybe these maps are guarded closely like fishing spots.
For people who make their own maps, I'm curious how they do this. Do they have software that helps them figure out what changes to make?
I'm new to fuel controllers so I'm sure that I'm missing some key points here. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

When you say be careful do you mean don't upload a map that is designed for mods that are different from what the sled has?
Yes. That is main concern as is going over Internet. Things get corrupted and more it's transferred worse the risk of corruption. I have seen it myself but it's very rare. When you say be careful do you mean don't upload a map that is designed for mods that are different from what the sled has?

So just wanted to bump this thread and add a few questions.
Just got a chance to buy a pcv for bout 100USD, used but stilla a good price.
The only mod i have so far air box mod, but thinking about muffler and header in the future but that might take a while.
Is it Worth it to run only pcv with air box mod? Dont have the budget for auto tune and AFR at the moment.
