I ditched the gems on mine after the first season and went with the pc5 pti with Ulmer’s mapping and ignition module. Mine is one of the original stage 1 innercooled kits so never had an eabc on mine..however mine ran so much better with the pc5. Ulmer’s mapping is right on the money and I’d guarantee the tuning will negate any worries of loss of “snap”. Mine is now tuned at 9 psi on low boost and 12 psi on high boost and about the only way to describe the power is: it has the throttle response of an n/a sled except when it hits it hits with twice the power. Mine produces 250 horse, I trail ride it all day on pump gas and it gets 15-17 mpg no matter how I drive it. There’s obviously more to it than just the pc5..but before when I was running the gems I would be looking for gas at the 80 mile mark because it wasn’t gonna make it another 20 miles. Now I can put 150 miles on and still make it home without the gas light coming on. I’d say if you got the stuff you’re crazy not to use it, try and get in touch with Ulmer and purchase some mapping from him, you won’t be disappointed.
