have never really been on a new modern machine last one I drove was a 70's Olympic .So when my brother in-law asked if I would like to go on a run with him and drive his F7 firecat I jumped at it and said sure .He was going to drive one of those new UGLY phasers and the other guy was going to drive a Apex out to demo them at the races .So I tagged along on his F7.What a fast machine but not having been on a sled 50 mph felt fast 75 was crazyfast .And I was being left behind I can't believe they can drive these at 90-100mph WOW!So I have been contemplating getting into this but now I'm thinking this seems pretty dangerous I glad I didn't go but a sled!So we watch some the drags and buddy does a few demo rides on the sleds and when we go to leave I get to drive the UGLY Phaser back....great!All of 2 minutes down the trail I'm like wow this is a nice riding machine 15 min along my brother in-law wants to know if I want to trade back to the F7 NO THAT FINE I'LL DRIVE THIS! I really liked it . It felt nice and stable had lots of low end grunt was really fun to drive every where we went over the drifts through the new snow and on the trails .I did bottom the suspension quite a few times in the short time I was on it .I don't know if that can be remedied with the stock suspension and it needs about 20 more HP as I believe that I would out grow it quickly .Very surprised as I thought it was the ugliest looking thing but when I was done I may be looking seriously at one for next year .What are your modes for the suspension and to get some more power .Are you finding them too boring after you have had them for awhile?

ive had 150hp sleds 7 in 15 years and i ride super aggressive thats the reasonfor the number of sleds ive abused all were modified but i think ive had the most fun on my gt yes it needs more horses and suspension but all in all very cool little tobbogan if you ride on tight trails noone will lose you unless he is a superior rider than you in that case let him go and ride with someone with your capabilities youll have more fun and live longer 08 nytro rtx 130 hp might be up your alley

the phazer fx is a blast to ride, you can whip it around all day long and not get tired, great machine

Phazer=Phun...whoops! I mean Fun!
The Phazer had a short learning curve for Me. I rode the DEMO's last year and walked away a little confused. Then I bought the Mtn Lite and really started to fall in love with the handling of the Phazer. Then this year at the DEMO's I rode a FX again only this time conditions were much better and the pace was a little more spirited. The FX Rocks!!!! You can jump the ever loving $*** out of that sled. When you see a bump coming you can take the mental approach that your going to flatten the sucker. The best way to describe the sled is like a dirt bike or Raptor. The Phazer is not the fastest or best handling sled on the snow But THERE IS NO SLED ON THE PLANET THAT IS MORE FUN TO RIDE THAN A PHAZER. imo.

ah the time I have spent pondering weather or not I could get used to 80 hp after living with 150 for so long.
If they had come up with a Nitro GT, I'd have been all over it.
Guess my wife needs a Phazer, its the only solution...Get my cake and eat it too

What about modes other than a turbo or NOS to get a little more out of it ? Everyone seems to lament only 80hp well it sure was fun to drive with 80hp but even I was wondering if I would crave more after awhile .But then again how much is enough ? They are putting turbos on RX1's and Apexes seems there is never enough!

How much is enough? That is the question. If all of My buddies were on Phazers the fun factor would go through the roof. They think I'm nuts but I know I'm right. Back in 1990 when My buddy and I had Phazers. We would race'em and trade paint all day long. The competition was at a slower/safer speed. Back in those same years there were some guys I knew that had sno-sports that would run them the same way. You should have seen the way their faces would light up talking about the Fun they had racing those things.

Superman I believe you hit the nail on the head ! I remember a couple of buddies of mine had the old single elans they loved them and had a ton of fun on them.A bunch of us went to a outside go kart track we had a load of fun and I think they only went 30 mph tops.Fun as we were able to all go the same speed .Sure if one would have gone 60 mph that guy would have had lots of fun passing the rest of us but I'm sure that would have got boring for him in awhile .Everyone wants to go faster faster faster I want to get out drive some trails pound a few drifts have some fun I'm not into the 100 mph passes down the lake.I see a phaser in the future!
