Phazer 900?!

No.For many of us a Nytro just doesnt cut it.To me when I get on a Nytro it feels like its a Hundred lbs heavier than my Phazer. Not even in the same ballpark feel wise.

Man, I think you guys are the kings of getting off topic! Who gives a hoot about your aunt and her bf! Isn't that what pm's are for?

I owned an 08 Nytro, dale hit it on the head. They literally feel 100 pounds heavier than a Phazer.Bombapolayama, HAHAHA!!! I believe they are youngsters... Teens nowadays don't have the greatest attention span.. ;)!

the nytro is about 50lbs heavier than the phazer but i agree 100% u cant throw it around at all. and i really dont have a problem w the power of the phazer

yea they call it a nytro

Too bad a Nytro has a smaller tank, which means less fuel economy then a Phazer. The good thing about a Phazer is that you can do touring on it, but still get the good fuel range where as the Nytro, with the bigger engine, and smaller gas tank is not good for any touring.

Now alot of you guys will think "WTF is Zack talking about who the hell would tour on a Nytro?" but I would. I rode 2,100km in 6 days on my Phazer around the Gaspe Peninnsula in Quebec, and the Phazer as a touring sled? Come on, your whole azz doesnt even fit on the sit. IMO the Nytro should be able to hold 4-5 more liters of fuel and it would appeal to people like me, and my dad who wants a Nytro but because of the fuel reason, wont buy one.

i rode short track nytro and a longtrack the only thing i liked was the power but it FELT big to me i know there not that much heavier im 5'7 160 lbs and i didnt feel as comfortable as i did on a phazer i ride in the woods most of the time and i need a sled i can throw around but i think yamaha should have thought about the 600 class 2strokes before they made this sled. why not make a 700 triple and get rid of the gear reduction, and probably be able to make the sled 105 or maybe even 110 horsepower, if they can do it for the nytro then surely they could make a smaller triple for the phazer. then they could get rid of the vibration issues, and make the phazer dominate the 600 class instead watching the 2 strokes walk away after 60. the more i think about it i dont think a big twin is the answer for the phazer. keep the twin but make it like buying a 550 fan rev. buying a nytro is not always the answer for people that want a small, light AND powerful sled.

all the phazers newer than 07 have a 7gal tank. idk what that is in liters. the nytros have a 7.5 gal tank. when me and the guy that i bought my phazer from who now has a nytro go riding our gas gauge allways reads the same when were done at the end of the day

my sons XTX and my phazer get the same gas mileage - day in day out they are the same.

i agree with you 100%. a friend of mine has an 09 nytro RTX SE that he stretched to a 136. ive never ridden a 121 but i cant "flick" the nytro hardly at all. im 6'5 270 i dont even like riding it..... in tight trails which is where we ride 80% of the time. but open trals its great no matter what yamaha makes someones all ways gonna want something different

Really! My old man always told me that because the Nytro has a 28L tank and the Apex has a 36L tank the Nytro would get have fuel economy being a Triple and all.. I figured it made sence ya know, thats what has been holding him back from getting a Nytro. I'll have to share this info with him.

It's too bad he doesn't come on this forum, he knows I do, probably reads what I post. Oh well.

Fuel economy has nothing to do with tank size. It is an expression of the amount of fuel burned over a specific distance, not the capacity of the fuel tank.
