(Brochure) 1990 Phazer II with E.S. 423lbs & 56H.p. = 7.55 lbs. per H.p. without E.S. 406 lbs & 56 H.p. = 7.25
2007 Phazer 454 Lbs. & 80 H.p. = 5.67
1999-2001 Phazer was heavier(real world) than the Pz II but had like 4 more H.p. ?
 
Talked to a yamaha rep at one of the snowmobile shows,wouldn't tell me whats comming next but he did say what isn't.No doubled up 450s,no displacement increase in current 500twin.

I got the impression a triple is comming based on the 250 motor in 09.

The current 500 engine has been built for three years.They tried the 450 motor but it didn't work out.
 
i still haven't worked out the details....but am planning to get a phazer gt.

everything i have read says it has more than enough hp for me.

but.... what about putting in a motor like the YZF-R6? 600cc 130hp i personally don't care about the extra hp enough but. i was wondering if this might be better than a 900cc twin people have been talking about. would anyone pay 10k for a phazer with the YZF-R6 motor?
