Hey guys have noticed that the SRV Viper Chassis is not much different from the Phazer chassis really. The overall tunnel and front subframe angle is very similar to the lets call it what it is the Arctic Cat chassis. Yes the a-arm mounting point degree and shock is differnet on the SRV chassis and has the 30 degree a-arm mounting point difference. A thought to off season upgrade minus the new purchase drop front end 3" causing center of gravity drop.

If your really aggressive redesign the front subframe to match the SRV chassis and a-arms and there you have it minus the price tag. Who wants to try it come on it's can't be that bad. I can see how Yamaha has a vested venture into Cat's chassis in there agreements and working together. Remeber the Phazer broke the mold when it came out to chassis rider position ya there is a similarity.

As soon as the snow melts I'm going to be tearing mine down and adding quite a bit of caster by moving the rear lower arm holes out about 1/4" and welding in a support brace between the 2 since one of the holes is ovaled out from 2 broken A-arms. Looking to get about 26* of caster and spindles tipped in about 2-3* by machining the upper ball joints. Right now I have about 18* on one side and 10* on the side with the ovaled hole which noticably effects handling when turning that way.

The steering would be a major hurdle to overcome if using a SRV front end.If its not same it wont feel anything like the SRV.

Would be nice to rework the phazer steering .... way too many connections & joints ....

Want me to post pics of the steering? and post and any dimensions?

I would think the pro-cross and the viper chassis would be close to the same. Since the chassis came for the sno pro race sled data and testing I would think they would be a close to each other.

I have a 2013 Cat and I can tell you the chassis is nothing like the Phazer's.
