KRIS said:New to site and new to a 08 RTX. Live in the SYR area and would be interested in matching up with everyone for the ride if the weather comes around. I did get 160 miles on locally before the weather changed.
Hey Kris,
I'll keep the thread updated, so far it ain't looking good but could change by the end of the month or March?
I've gotten out 3 times, 213 miles (2 tug hill's + 1 Forestport) rides. Last year I did 1900 for the season.
Going to try Camden tomorrow (Sat, 4th) not to promising though, good thing I haven't put on the new set of carbides yet.

Think they are in the same boat....
My Eastern PA friends have been coming up here to ride more North with me.
Did 106 miles yesterday on Tug Hill with the locals. 2" of powder on top of 6" of ice and moguls in some spots, had to be real careful (not studded) but we made a nice day of it.
At least it was a ride

Photos look nice from the tug...heading to twitchell/big moose for a day run saturday the 10th. The RTX i picked up came with pics in the track already and I just replaced the carbides this past weekend. Coming from a polaris 700, I am sure impressed so far with this machine. Thanks for the update.

Just be careful and you should be ok, alot of ice underneath it all. Even being studded isn't 100% foolproof

Changed drop sites and did 130 miles sunday on the tug instead (7:30am - 2:30pm) and it was nice considering the winter here in upstate ny. Hopefully we will get a chance next year to meet up with everyone for this ride in Waterville?

We did The hill as well, unloaded from Camden & put on just over 100 miles.
Rough, icey & hard in alot of areas but some not so traveled trails were sweet.
Met this DEC guy doing his job, "just a warning" for a couple of the guys
Ahhh, flat!!
Quick break taking in the snow falling

I had the white phazer which you should have seen at Sportsmans, because I parked near you guys based on the photos. When I return from Anchorage next week I am planning on getting another ride in. Possibly see on the trail before the end of the season...if you see my sled, say hello.

Shoot me a PM a day or 2 when you're going to ride, maybe we could hook up? Usually Saturday is my best day to get out...

Just returned from Anchorage...Iron Dog snowmobile race was going on, looked pretty wild, google it. Sure thing on reaching out to you, by the looks of the next weeks forecast it may be tough, time will tell. Stay tuned.

Few of us skipped out on work Friday and rode some of the Adirondack Mt. area from Ohio to Indian Lake, put on 156 miles.
Above decent trails with some of them only being 4' wide (thanks to the nice tree hugger people) and a topping out of 77 on the speedo across a few snow covered lakes. Was cool to just hold it to the bar for a mile or two and go (somewhat) LOL.
Looking like the riding season is getting tighter for days to ride, damn weather is crazy everywhere. Last week we rode in almost white out conditions around Tug Hill/ Camden, this past ride it was 35 and sweating my #*$&@ off~ nice day to ride though.
Plan another Phazer get together next year....
