What is the K&N oil filter part number for 2011 phazer rtx or where can I get a filter wrench that fits a yamaha filter and will fit in the small area they give you to get the filter loose?

Okay thanks for the info, but now I need to know where to get a filter wrench to get the yamaha filter off. Any ideas ?

You wont be able to use a filter wrench to get the stock filter off unless you take the front sub frame off.. Pierce the filter with a screw driven to break the filter loose then use a strap wrench to get it off.

I have a cup filter wrench that is suposed to go in a socket wrench. Instead I just put a carriage bolt through the square hole and a nut on the outside. Just jamb the nut so it can undo. Worked great and I've changed about 6 filters without removeing the subframe.

Sure but I can't until the weekend, I don't have it at my shop right now.

I just used a pair of channel-lock pliers to remove stock filter, was easy

Sorry it might be a few weeks now becuase of something that change my planes for the weekend but I will once I get a chance.

I have an MTX. I could not figure out how to get the KN filter past the frame without getting the oil cooler clear first. The "nut" on the end of the KN filter took away any clearance that you get with the stock filter. FWIW, I'm going back to stock on the next filter change.
Maybe the RTX sub-frame is different and you won't have the clearance issues that I had.

Shouldn't be different between shorties and the MTX for the front sub frame. If you unplug the oil pressure sensor and move the idle adjuster out of the way, you should be able to get it out. It's tight but doable and only goes one way. I use K&N and the nut just makes it easier for me.
