I looked at an 07 phazer yesterday who's front shock was closer to the front of the A-arms then the back. You could not pass a finger between the front A-arm and shock. Both sides had the same spacing and i did not see anything bent or twisted. He then sent me a photo of a 2015 phazer on a showroom floor (grass drags epping nh) that was the same way. Anyones A-arm and shock set up like this?

I attached the 2015 picture. thanks!!!

Read my reply to the first thread you started. Take a close look at the construction of the upper a arms. One bar is welded at a 90degs and the other at IDK like 70degs.

Interesting picture, but I'd have to say my 2007 MTX is about the same. My shocks are different (probably smaller diameter) so it may look more centered, but overall the shocks are slightly closer to the front of the A-arm.

Thanks everyone for your input, that was the only issue i saw with his sled, the rest looked pretty clean. I may snatch it up then. Beiter01, sorry i did not see your reply or any that followed on the other thread. I thought i would get emails when peopled responded but it looks like i only get an initial email. Anyway, i know now to check the forum not just my email, and thanks for your in-depth reply.

No problem! Glad you got it figured out. I love the cooperation on this site!

I would say as long as both sides are even you should be good. G.B.

Here are pictures of the actual A-arms. You can't even pass a pencil between the shock and front of A-arm. BUT... both shocks and A-arms are evenly spaced and I couldn't find anything bent. So.... those of you with 07 phazers who's shock is closer to the front of the A-arm, is this what you are seeing? Normal or NOT as extreme?Pencil test?
Thanks a million!

Thanks for the prompt reply Cannondale! Im glad to hear that there is nothing wrong with my front end, although I am a little disappointed in yamaha for leaving me very little room for error. If I even slightly tweak those A-arms, they are going to hit my shocks. Is there any way I could center the shocks more? cut and weld? OR Are the fox shocks a smaller diameter thus leaving more room? just tossing out ideas.....

I have tweaked a few upper arms. Always was going to put a brace on arm. I wouldn't be moving the shock around.

Yah the upper arms are made out of tin cans , very easy to bend back though ;)!
