You dont gain hp from sparkplugs. Ive seen adds over the years from various sparkplug manufacturers (Splitfire and more recently Bosch) with all these claims of increased hp, but Im yet to see any tests that show a gain from something as simple as different sparkplugs.
I would look into getting a set of Denso Iridiums. Iridium is a very hard metal, so the electrodes last a very long time and because Iridium is so hard, they can make the electrode very fine with causes less of a voltage drop as it fires. They are a little pricey (something like $8 each), but they last a very, very long time.

If it burns faster, wouldn't you need to retard timing a little at high RPM?

Believe me if the technology worked, don't you think
manufacturers would utilize it.
manufacturers would utilize it.

Amen to that. It kinda remind me of the claims that we used to hear with those Splitfire and Bosch +4 sparkplugs.

about splitfire; I've heard on a dyno they do make more power... but for a short time until one of the electrode path fouls then it just a ragular plug with an offset electrode and make slightly less power. electricity like most things takes the path of least resistance

Ive never heard of something as simple as a sparkplug producing more horsepower.
Now, if you replaced the entire ignition system to give it a hotter spark I could believe more power, but not from sparkplugs alone.
Not calling you a liar or saying you dont know what you are talking about, Im just very skeptical of that claim.

well thats why i asked i wasnt sure if it was true or not. i dont want to spend 50 bucks for them if its totally impractical. the technology behind the pulse plug seems sounds. if u can ignite more of the fuel in a shorter time i can imagine more power or atleast better efficiency but i would like to see some dyno results tho. if we could get some one to buy a set and really try them in a dyno and show the results that would be great. if i had the access to one i would and post results but i dont seem to have a dyno laying around lol.

it would be the same reason why evey sled doesnt come with highgrade shocks. why put in a $2000 when a $400 one will do what 75% of customers what. why put in a $25 when they can get standered plugs for pennies.

ive been lookin at post on apexs runing differnt plugs that are getting 2-3 hp on the dyno
"stock is a 9 and stock plug has only one electrode...the CR10ek has two electrodes...they burn more complete...and make a few HP on dyno...wont hurt anything and starts just as well in cold."

a hotter spark doesn't help if its limited to the same small area, splitfires and the like expose the spark to more of the A/F mix. same concept as multiple plugs per cylinder. and yes the OEMs are doing that in some cases

i would like to try the pulse plugs cause if they do work 50 bucks is cheep for a few hp or even better fule economy would be worth it. i just dont feel like wasting the 50 bucks. any one think it could cause any damage? i dont see how it would as long as its a crossrefferance.

well they dont make a plug that would work anyway the threads are differnt

trust it when i see it. many different plugs has come and go, and still the "old" ones is left.
i dont think it gains HP or torque.
but sure, idea looks good and they shows it like it will be totally revolutionary....
