nice, its getting very tempting now that used kits have been showing up for 2000-2000$ all over the place. There was a Turbo MTX locally with a blown motor for 3000$ but the wife said no. I'd really hate to install a turbo/super on mine, limit it to 5psi for pump gas use, then see yamaha release a new 100-110hp class phazer replacement. Though I guess If if made it out west I'd still be making close to 110hp at 10,000ft where as an NA 110hp sled would be down to 70-75hp.

Been tempting for sure to get a supercharger...
However the rods seem to fail when running boost.

or without boost, me..... But generally the guys tossing rods are pushing more than 11psi through them. When the first turbo kits came out guys were running 14psi and 150+ hp which is insane IMO. Others tend to cheat and think 91 octane is enough at 10,000ft for 10-11psi and it goes boom. I really haven't seen any failures from guys who always make sure they have the proper fuel mix, good RICH A/F ratio, and DON'T push the boost past 10-11psi. I know when I got mine back after it was rebuilt under warranty the Service Manager stated the Rods in my Phazer looked weak compared to Apex rods, especially the one that snapped without and bending or seizure in the motor.
