I'm still waiting for the dealer to come up with some kind of link so that I'll have a sled. WTF, Buy a sled get an extended warranty doesn't mean sh^% if they have no parts. What a disaster this "Yamaha" is being for me. I should have stuck with skidoo, even if they had stuff break I was always to have the parts in a day.
Recall Results:
This is what all is being done(pic).After it was done I took a little ride and noticed my steering was in fact sloppier than before recall work.Nothing you notice while riding but I had more play than a 1970 Arctic Cat.So I thought they must not have tightened something.Took off all the stuff to take a look.Everything was tight but I noticed when wiggling the bars the Idler arms were moving up and down rather than just left and right.Hmm.Took them apart.Is a bushing in each.Seemed way too long.Took them to dealer and asked to see my old ones.Old ones were shorter.Not worn just shorter.Lets put it this way mine are now shorter.Tightened up slop to level of before recall.While I was at it I shortened the big bushing in the one marked as Mod.Wow what a difference!Way better than it ever was.When bars turn so do the skis.Hardly no play at all.
Conclusion.Yamaha must be worried about Ice getting in the pivots and locking them up.The recall made pivots sloppy to prevent this.Reasonable but it never happened to me and if it did I never noticed because before I take off I always make sure nothing is froze up.Like steering,brakes,track and throttle.

I got mine back the other day. Seems tight. Maybe 3/4 inch play at the end of the handlebar. I'm thinking thats tight or no? I'm taking the front panels off to apply graphics and checking inside the airbox there are still riveted retainer clips holding the airbox screen down. I thought these were to be changed to something else? They did put in a fan for me so when the rivets get sucked into the motor it'll still run cool. hope they did what they're sopposed to they were very busy. 
Its possible your steering feels tighter since when this recall is done everything is greased.There are no grease fittings to do this it has to be taken apart.When the grease goes away the sloppier steering will show up unless the two bushings werent replaced.

There are still rivets used to hold clips but they put washers on the backside of them.It wouldnt be visible.They also tighten the motor mount bolt on left side.

I haven't gotten mine done yet.
New update !! They are installing a new ECM on my sled.Cold starting problem fix. I guess the update just came out, now they need the fan. I think I am getting one for mine. It overheated and boiled out the antifreeze. Soon after that I hit a rock (in another post) Hope to have it by next weekend. Sorry no pics.

My first dealer told me January, maybe, for the link, another installed one today for me. So unfortunatly, it depends where you go...
You guys know Yamahas warrrantee also covers lost riding time.Not sure the details but hotels and such bills are recoverable.Should be something for it sitting in shop.

It's a different spring for the centrifugal cylinder decompressor, and a new ECU.
