I Picked up my 05 vector rs tonight. It was a deal that I could not pass up. I guess I will be selling my 03 rx--1. I am hoping I will be happy with the vector. I am thinking most the time I never use the extra power on the rx-1. any one looking for a deal on an rx-1 this is be going cheap.

what'd u pay for ur rs? ur gonna love the 120...its so light compared to the rx-especially the 03. flys really good too

I hate to say what I paied as it might make some feel bad.I just wich I could have got it home a day earler as I had 7 inch yesterday morning, but its melting fast and is going to be 65 today.

I second the idea of changing out the carbides. I went with 6" Woody's and what an incredible difference. Also, you should read some of the posts here about messing with your suspension settings. At least on my to Vector's, the skid shocks needed to be backed off some and the rear suspension set to soft. Good luck with your sled ... you'll love it.

144 studs and 6" doolies and she turns vitually effortlessly! steers straighter than an arrow 2!

If you're adding more carbide up front, it would be in your best interest to add some studs to your track.

96 minimum to 144 max.....depending on how aggressively you ride. Center belt only.

I have 144 single across the entire track - dealer said it wouldn't be a problem and I trusted him - but I guess he won't be the one to pay for a new track will he! I want to be able to ride agreesively, hence going to 144. Now that I think more about it, with the awesome low end that this sled has, is 96 down the center truly enough? Would a min of 120 down the center be prefered? I'm only trying to generate discussion....I am not an expert on this for sure!!

I can tell you that my sled with 144 and 6" is an awesome performer! Sled is on rails, which is what I wanted. If I didn't have studs, I'd go with 4" doolies.

A lot of people stud the outside belts as well as the inside one (my brother for example). He has over 4000 miles now on his Viper, rides aggressively, and hasn't had any rip out yet.....just a couple of bent ones.

I like to slide the rear end just a bit in corners, and studding only the center belt alows me to do this (at least more so than if I studded the outside ones as well).

Lots of people get away with only 96 up the center.....but chances are, they're not riding very aggressively.....or at least not very often.

120 up the center would be a better option (which is what I have). I haven't had any rip out and ride aggressively. However, I am careful to not spin the track when going over RR crossings, road crossings, or any rocks or stumps that may be in the trail.

Well before I stud it I kind of like to ride it some. I have never road much without studds. I got 192 on my rx-1. I was thinking of trying not to stud this sled. But am not sure how much I will lose
