For those running Pilot 6.9s, which style do you have: inside offset or wide stance. As I understand it, Doo makes 2 versions. Pros/cons and your experiences? I'm probably 80 trail/20 off, but after my last experience off trail, the stockers must go.

I thought there was only one 6.9 pilot. Some drilled for 1 carbide and one drilled for 2.

they offer two spacing based upon the way you add the spacers to the ski/spindle.

That is an accurate statement! Ski offset is adjustment can be set by swapping inside and outside spacers between spindle and skis to achieve a desired offset.

So to mount on the yamaha spindle what is everybody using for hardware and rubbers, Yamaha or S-K?

I thought that the 2nd version was a narrower offset and could not be change because it was in the ski itself? Maybe Im wrong.

this is the way i understand it. "Mountain Sport"has the outside edge the same width as standard ski and adds the extra flotation to the inside (offset) whereas the "Mountain Performance" style centers the spindle mount on the ski making for a wider ski stance.

Saw those. They look to be the "Performance", wide stance, version. I'm tring to decide which style is better.

I installed the 5.7 trail sport pilot. Honda East sells a 6.9 mountain sport for $83. It's the same ski as mine but wider. These skis come without the outer holes drilled for the wear bar but are designed to except one if you want to install it.

But you have to purchase 4 bushings and 2 rubbers if you use the yamaha hoops and spindle bolts. There is a crap load of rubbers that ski doo offers so it is a crap shoot.
