Hey guys, I have talked to a few of you about the pilot 5.7's and those of you who have them say that they are great. Has anyone tried the 6.9's on their sled? If so, how are they for trail use? I am trying to find out which ski would be the best for trail use, but handle some deeper snow at the same time. On that note, I would like to try and find a ski that is not crazy aggressive and hard to work with.

I put 6.9's on my Attak and like how they work very much, other than the darting over a stock ski with dooly's. I have now put on Bergstrom's 8" single runners with 3/8" ski savers to hopefully cure the darting. I drilled the outside holes in the ski to run stock 4" doo carbides on the outside. I had 7.5" shaper bars on prior the the Bergstrom's w/savers. I have not been out to run with the Bergstrom's yet to tell how they work for getting rid of the darting. They float very well and turn great however.

I have the 5.7's on both My Nytro and My Apex and they work great. They steer awesome and I have zero darting or hunting with either sled.
I have the 6.9's on my Nytro. I'm very happy with them, they keep the front end up nicely off trail & handle well on trails. They were a little darty after shortening my front limiter strap, but since adjusting my toe-out they're not too bad. The stock skis are just too narrow for any powder riding.

Have em on my apex rtx, great all around ski. Darting is very minimal and only on very specific conditions. Flotation is awesome and so is steering response. Light steering ski as well.
