place to hook power for heated shield

I'm moving this topic because i placed it in the wrong section. I need to know where the best place to hook the heated shield is.

Blue white wire going into the fuse box located on RH side of sled by the cowling,its only powered when engine is running.

The same wire exists in the handlebar pad. It is the headlight power and it runs through the dimmer switch. That's where I tapped into it.

Is this wire blue and white as well and where are you hooking into ground.

I was running my LEDS in front so I went direct to the battery, find a good chassis ground up there somwhere.

Might want to search around a bit on this site. Or save yourself some time and problems, go direct to the battery, with a fuse at the battery.

I tapped into one of the red wires going into the bottom of the fuse box over on the right hand side of the sled, just above the chain case. Then put an inline fuse on the wire going to your shield.
