I was riding in the Calvin Coolidge State State forest two days ago. I was amazed by how good the conditions were. I put on 60 miles in half of a day without exhausting the ridable trails. The trails were groomed flat and the traffic was low. There was 2+ft of hardpack in most spots. Don't miss out on some great late season riding.

It's amazing how much snow we have around Eden, Vt . to Richford Mountain up on the Canadian border and east to Island Pond and back to Albany and Covebtry and to Eden. Some road scratching but super smooth on almost all trails. Trail conditions have been excellent and it has been the best year yet. Going out right now for a 150 mile loop.

Last Saturday we rode from Richford mountain, down to Jay, Troy, Lowell then down to Albany. Richford mountain had 10" of fresh powder and we were breaking trail. Once we got down into the valley there was no fresh snow at all. The trails all the way down to Albany were fantastic though, but east of Albany we hit an extremely rough logging operation. Also made the mistake of taking the trail that goes through the streets of downtown Newport center! :o| If you can put up with the roads and bare spots it's awesome riding! The clubs are doing an excellent job of grooming and there's no traffic this time of year! We may try going this weekend from Richford again, depending on the amount of snow we get from this storm. ;)!
