You should smoke um. I have raced many with my Rx1 and later with my current apex. no contest. Just make sure you get traction. the longer run the better for you.
The better question is will the Fusion hold together long enough to finish the race. Pure junk they were and unreliable as all heck. Those things are famous for popping belts, my buddy went through 10 in one season.....RX1 should win with ease.

Pick your battles wisly, some of the confusions went very well,on the tune of 118 gps all stock, mine would run 110 gps every day,but no more as at that point the rpms would be down to 7000 rpms, and it makes its best power at 7600,now my 03 rx1 would only run very good top speed on almost bare ice,but it would run 117 gps,not all rx1's ran that speed, and of course not all confusions run 118 but i have seen a few,i do hope you beat him,but by no means are all fusions slow,ya junk maybe lol..Ich Bin said:tits, he has been talking SO much sh@# its unbelieveable

I agree with picking your battles wisely, I've had days on my RX1 running across a lake with a foot and a half of fresh powder wide open where I couldn't get over 80mph and a friends 440 snopro with a 600 trail motor was running side by side with me. He did have a long track and paddle track and at the time I had the stock 03 Rx1 track. Any other situation I beat him out of the hole by 2 sled lengths and I'm gone after that. If you're on ice traction on the take off makes a huge difference, if you spin the track it takes a lot to regain traction. Last year I drag raced all day long on hard pack ice and one time I would lose to a stock 600 twin and the next I was running side by side with clutched apex's..

I remember when I had my stock button track on my 03 rx1,it was a perfect speed track for top end on lakes and very hard packed trails, like I said I got my rx1 to 117 gps and never got any of my apex/attacks to beat that speed, they would match it,but never bested it.RxThunder said:I agree with picking your battles wisely, I've had days on my RX1 running across a lake with a foot and a half of fresh powder wide open where I couldn't get over 80mph and a friends 440 snopro with a 600 trail motor was running side by side with me. If that 900 is still running, then assume that it's running well.
Take the high road and don't trash talk back...then when you win, let him have it.

Very good point Grimm,ya the guys had plenty of time to sort most of the stuff out, that most of us did not want to fool with.Grimm said:If that 900 is still running, then assume that it's running well.

I had the 900. I never had a problem with it. Blew a belt but that's it really. In the quarter mile the rx1 WILL NOT win. The 900had its issues but speed was not one of them. If you look back at the past shootout results the Fusion was a half a second faster than the rx1. as you can see, the fusion was one of the faster/quicker sleds out that year

I am coming off a ConFusion 900 to my FX Nytro and I can tell you my Nytro would absolutely smoke my Fusion. The Fusion has great low end but they don't transfer and hook up. The Fusion is the worst out of the hole sled I have ever owned. Overall I had a good Fusion, close to 8000 miles and never been apart! Just chose to go the four stroke route and I really think I made a good move.
